WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO GIVE? – ACTS 3:1- 11 Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." (v.6 NKJV) The LORD honours is Holy name in the mouth and life of those who honour HIM in truth and in deed. Apostles Peter and John honored GOD by honoring the hour(s) of prayer; but they honored HIM more by beautifying the life of the lame man with healing in the name of Jesus Christ. How many lives have you made beautiful in your daily labour? This scriptural passage may not be that strange to many people who are used to their Bibles and are good at attending Sunday schools, or had watched many children animated films of this event. The slogan “silver and gold I do not have..” has also become an household language. Peter and John had not only the power of prayer, they also had a compassionate spirit. They had been with Jesus to know He did not help with money. Jesus went about doing good and healing all along His way of ministration; this is what He taught His disciples to do and be witness of Him (Jesus Christ). I have come to realize that ‘silver and gold’ do not solve all problems but the power of Jesus does. Many problems around us would not have lingered for long if many others have what it takes to solve them. I know there are several people that needed to be attended to around you, but I asked, what do you have to give? Do you have the love of GOD in you? Are you endowed with the power to heal and deliver? Do you have the Spirit and the life of Jesus Christ in you? Jesus is the one with the name to heal and to save, if you do not have His Spirit and life in you, you may not have the right gift for that man or woman in need around you today. Please make a bold move for the Spirit of Jesus Christ. May the power of the love and life of Christ make your life beautiful. May you receive the needed help today. Amen!
