WHAT IS CHRISTMAS ALL ABOUT? Christmas time is here! What is Christmas all about? At this time of the year, we commemorate the coming to the earth of Jesus Christ, for the sole purpose of saving us from our sins (LUKE 19:10; 1TIMOTHY 1:15). And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins (MATTHEW 1:21 ). As we celebrate Christmas, we should honestly ask ourselves the following questions: First, are we really Christians? Second, are we really saved? It is important to know that without Salvation, you cannot be a part of the Body of Christ (the Church), or a real Christian. ... AND THE LORD ADDED TO THE CHURCH DAILY THOSE WHO WERE BEING SAVED (ACTS 2:47). Examine yourself as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourself (2CORINTHIANS 13:5). Salvation and a changed life are inseparable. Real salvation, inevitably produces a changed life. If someone is saved, he is a new creature (2CORINTHIANS 5:17), the old life is gone and a new life has begun. You cannot be saved without being changed! The Gospel of Christ is the power of God to salvation (ROMANS 1:16). A transformed life testifies of the saving power of God. When Saul (Paul) was saved, his life was totally transformed. Listen to Paul, Although I WAS FORMERLY a blasphemer, a persecutor and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly IN UNBELIEF (1TIMOTHY 1:13). For WE OURSELVES WERE ALSO ONCE foolish, disobedient, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful and hating one another. But when the kindness and the love of God our Savior toward man appeared, not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy HE SAVED US, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit (TITUS 3:3-5). Examine yourself! Test yourself! Are you saved? Be honest! Did salvation transform your life? Are you experiencing that power of God to overcome sin in your life? If your answer is No, then you need to be saved this Christmas!
