WHAT IS HOLINESS? Holiness is a state of union with God, myself and with others. Others include your fellow human beings as well as the plants and animals, indeed the whole of creation. When you discover that you are not just a body or just a spirit but a complete, whole person, then you will discover the meaning of holiness. Your body is the primal symbol of the reality that you are; yet you are more than your body. Your body makes you manifest. Your body can say can say a lot about you, about your reality, your personality. The holy person is the one who has discovered the balance between the physical, the psychological and the spiritual. Some people are spiritually well but psychologically sick. Some are psychologically all right but are sick in spirit. What we call sickness is the physical manifestation of the imbalance between the spiritual and the psychological.
