WHAT IT WAS WAS WASHING FEET….That’s what we did last Sunday at church. It’s exactly like it sounds. No preaching, just an explanation of what Jesus did in John 13 and then we washed each others’ feet. We separated by gender of course. It was completely unorthodox for a master to kneel down and wash the feet of his servants, but Jesus did it. Why? Humility. Being on your knees is seen as both submissive and vulnerable. On top of that, you’re washing feet, one of the dirtiest parts of the body. He had to humble Himself in order to please God on the cross. So there we were, washing each others’ feet. No giggling. No jokes. No avoiding the bunions or ingrown toenails. Just on our knees, scrubbing, singing unto the Lord and being humbled. FACTOID: Don’t consume burnt food. Overcooked food becomes carcinogenic (cancer causing). You are what you eat. Put the Uverse on pause and keep an eye on that frozen pizza.
