WHAT JEHOVAH WITNESSES BELIEVE: jehovah witnesses are a Christian denomination with many beliefs that stand out from mainstream Christianity. they are known for their potent evangelism and their unique translation of the bible called the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. Jehovah witnesses strictly adhere to what the bible teaches. they do not believe in the Catholic church doctrine of the Trinity which was borrowed from pagans. They follow the teachings of their leader Jesus Christ who clearly identified his father Jehovah in prayer as the only true God. Jehovah witnesses believe that only 144,000 who will go to heaven and that possibly billions will receive eternal life here on earth. They also dont believe in working for salvation but in their actions they do. Baptism: belief teach that baptism by total immersion is a symbol of dedicating ones life to God. Bible: the bible is Gods Word and is truth, more reliable than tradition. Communion: The Watchtower observe the Lords Evening Meal as a memorial to jehovahs love to christs redemptive sacrifice. Contributions: No collections are taken up at services at Kingdom Halls or conventions. Boxes are placed near the door so people can give as they wish. All giving is voluntary.
