WHAT JUST HAPPENED ... & A FIRST-DRAFT FOREWORD FOR THE LAST POPE - TopicsExpress

WHAT JUST HAPPENED ... & A FIRST-DRAFT FOREWORD FOR THE LAST POPE This passage explains it all, including the 5-book deal with CCC Publishing that went down last week. Also part of the deal was an invitation by the author to write a forward to the first release, a book entitled Pope Francis: The Last Pope. An amazing coincidence just occurred that I have to share. Heres the text from Foreword as I just wrote: The weekend of my 49th birthday something wonderful and something tragic happened … then something wonderful again. First the good news first. Last week it just so happened to be the time I was moving to the signed contract phase with bestselling Italian author Leo Lyon Zagami, including the option to publish five of his books in the English language. The first title in the publishing schedule is The Last Pope, which I had just started translating and reading, followed by Leo’s Confessions of an Illuminati, part I, II, II, and the Invisible Masters. My next two years was looking to be devoted to reissuing Leo’s groundbreaking books. My decision to work with Leo was largely due to the urging of our mutual friend Sean Stone, son of film director Oliver Stone. Everything was coming up roses when tragedy struck last Friday evening, the day before my birthday. My girlfriend Jennifer took a nasty fall on the pavement and shattered her left elbow in several locations. Needless to say, the festivities were cancelled and I just ended up hanging out with my friend Justin. The day after her surgery (today) I went to see her to bring flowers and other items she requested. I said hello to the elderly woman named Nora in the same room when I arrived. Nora had such a pleasant smile and disposition that I really took to her. The three of us had chatted for over an hour when her Catholic priest came to her hospital bedside to administer a communion and absolution. You see, Nora was diagnosed with widespread cancer, and was going under the knife the next morning for major surgery. A few months short of her 80th birthday, she was also contemplating the possibility she may not live through the operation, and wished to be forgiven of her sins. Her priest was a Jesuit, and quite a kind man with what I sensed was love in his heart. We had a discussion about the order, and I even told him about this book. He and Nora were both originally from Barcelona, Spain. The Father was attracted to the Jesuit order as a teenager, and enrolled in seminary school and eventually became a priest. and ended up giving mass in one of the largest cathedrals of San Francisco, California, the city where we all currently reside. When I left the hospital I was floored by the sheer coincidence of undertaking a major publishing project quite candid and critical of the Vatican authority, while at the same time witnessing a deeply-moving Catholic religious ceremony that I had not sought out, but was extremely grateful for the experience when it was over. My takeaway from this experience was to realize there are very good Catholic people in the world. Even the good Catholic people of the world need to understand the enormous changes at the top echelon. Both Nora and the priest felt Pope Francis was a very good change for the Catholic Church.
