WHAT KIND OF MAN WOULD YOU CHOOSE TO BE A LEADER Today we have articles in magazines and in News and Television media of the PERFECT MAN. This is Always determined by Looks and Body Build or his Finances. The LORD doesnt judge someone by physical appearance but by what is in the Heart of a Man. If only we would use that Standard today in appointing someone to rule or reign in our Nation. When the LORD sent Samuel to find a new King to replace Saul, these were HIS Instructions. The result of this search was David, the Great King of Israel. But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look Not on his countenance or the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth Not as man seeth; for Man Looketh On The Outward Appearance, But The LORD LOOKETH ON THE HEART. I SAMUEL 16:7 A GODLY MAN A godly man is one Who hides himself inside the Son, To walk each day in GOD alone, Never walking on HIS own. He seeks the wisdom of his LORD, His feet are planted in HIS Word. He asks for guidance from above, This man is a man of love. He knows he cant make it on his own, So he asks GOD alone. To guide him each and every day. Never going his own way. This man of GOD is a man of power, For he goes to his SAVIOUR every hour. Seeking wisdom from above, Given by a GOD of Love. He holds no keys to pride or fame, For he must call on JESUS NAME. And in his LORD he must abide, Daily walking by HIS Side. But his delight is in the Law of the LORD; and in HIS law doth he meditate day and night. Psalm 1:1-3 I find it interesting that the one, GOD chose to be the Mighty King over Israel, GOD also inspired to write those verses. Another godly Leader was Joshua; who was the Leader of Israel, chosen by GOD; also he was considered the Greatest General of all time. These are GODS Instructions and Promise to him, As A Leader. The Kings of Israel had to Study and Learn the Books of the Law. There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. Be strong and of a good courage : for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. Only be thou strong and very courageous , that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses MY servant commanded thee: TURN NOT from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest Prosper whithersoever thou goest . This Book of the Law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt Meditate therein Day and Night, that thou mayest Observe to do according to ALL that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous , and then thou shalt have good success . HAVE NOT I COMMANDED THEE? Be Strong and of a Good Courage ; be Not Afraid , Neither be thou Dismayed : for the LORD thy GOD IS WITH THEE whithersoever thou goest . JOSHUA 1:5-9 O ABBA FATHER, Help us as YOUR people, who have been guided by YOUR Hand to Diligently Seek YOU, when we choose our Leaders, help us to go by YOUR Requirements. If only women would seek these qualities in the men they marry and men would strive to be like Joshua, LORD marriages would not fail as often. Forgive us FATHER for our shortsightedness; we have suffered the consequences of the choices we have made outside of YOUR WILL. LORD, help us today to turn around; to seek YOU and YOUR Will.
