WHAT SEASON ARE YOU IN? I set here on my deck listening to the birds, the wind slightly blowing. I see two doves perched on the bird feeder in the back yard. Something so simple got me to thinking...how do two birds know the difference? You dont see a blue bird with a red bird, you dont see a dove with an owl etc...youre getting my drift right? I think about Adam in the garden naming the animals. You realize he just didnt name them but he spoke purpose, he spoke their existence as far as their instincts, their behavior, their color etc. You dont hear a bird barking or a cat quacking like a duck right? Well, who are you and what season are you in? We just came out of Winter where most of us (if youre like me) take shelter from the cold staying inside, its like we go into a deep sleep and only want to emerge when Spring arrives. Spring is here and everything is springing to life so to say. Its the same with our life. There are seasons when God hides us, allowing us to be alone and He draws us into a secret hiding place with Him, to spend quality time with Him, in Him and His presence. He allows our roots to get more firmly rooted in Him, allowing the pressure to cause our roots to get more grounded. This season has purpose, its so you can grow stronger, taller and learn to walk and stand stronger longer. Its in this season of Him hiding you, you become stronger, and more confident of who you are in Him. This is not the time God allows you to run ahead in the ministry without preparing you for growth. Theres a purpose. Then in the Spring comes the plowing the soil, sowing seed into the soil of your life, but you have spent time being nutured and seeds have been firmly planted and now he is watering them, so you need to realize that one without the other is impossible. Dont think you can survive Spring without the Winter, one without the other. Go plow, sow your seed but take time to water them also because its then that God will take and allow them to grow. Hell make something big out of them (you) after they are planted, taken care of and watered. Just watch and see what comes forth from your Winter season and you spring forth. Are you standing strong? Have you set quietly before Him? Where are you in this season of your life? Are you preparing so that God can use you? I almost forgot dont allow the dead stuff to overtake you ...pull it up by the roots making sure you get the whole root. Dont allow weeds to grow and overtake the beauty in you. You are to behold ... let your glory show forth. Give God the glory for what He has done in you. Amen!
