WHAT THE CAMERAS WILL NOT TELL YOU ABOUT THE IMO APC PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN The cameras must have done a great work of projecting a massive attendance to the Buhari campaign which held in Owerri, the Imo State capital. Such is the deceit of the camera that some of my friends from the Northern part of the country called to ask if Imo has joined the undeclared Islamic Caliphate. I told them that Imo people are too enlightened to join the crowd of fools clapping for the illiterate despot from Daura. For some of us who reside in Owerri and appreciate the fact that Rocahs has been able to use deception to lure a lot of the people to his side, it was more of a surprise to us that Okorocha could not muster any reasonable crowd to cheer the Presidential candidate of his Party, even though he was alleged to have released money to pay twenty thousand people the sum of five thousand Naira each to attend the rally. There were less than five thousand people who attended the rally, eventually. Other things you need to know about the rally are: 1. Governor Okorocha ordered all the traditional rulers in the State to mobilize at least fifty of their subjects for the rally. However, when a good number of the people found out that the rally was intended to welcome Buhari to Imo State, they all pulled out. 2. More than fifty percent of those who eventually attended rally were not told that Buhari would be attending the rally, they were rather made to believe that it was strictly a Rochas declaration event. 3. There were less than five thousand people who attended the rally. 4. The cameramen were given strict orders to concentrate their view on the areas where the crowd is concentrated. A closer observation will tell you that more than eighty percent of the sitting areas in the stadium were empty. 5. Unlike when Jonathan paid an almost unscheduled visit to Imo State last year, the traffic throughout Owerri was smooth, as some people even avoided coming to Owerri, out of the fear that some of Buharis supporters may have come with explosives under their dresses. 6. Most of the APC candidates for other elective positions in the State are afraid to openly identify with Buhari, as they are aware that such will rob them of the little support they have from the people, hence, most of them just sneaked into the venue of the rally, without even a single supporter of theirs. 7. Information from highly placed sources within the Okorocha government suggest that the Governor is already having problems with the people he gave money to hire crowd for him, as he is disappointed over the low turnout of people to the rally. IN CONCLUSION: Imo people are aware that GOODLUCK IS THE BEST DEAL, hence there is no cause for alarm.
