WHAT THE KORAN SAYS ABOUT JESUS I had this muslim friend that always preached that Jesus christ is not God. For him, God was only Allah, and he believed Allah never got married, so no sons for Allah. So he preached that Jesus is not God. Then one day, I asked him Who is JESUS? I knew who Jesus was, but I wanted to know his perception about Jesus, hence the question WHO IS JESUS? My friend was preaching he is not GOD, but the questions was who is he? My friend didnt know who Jesus was but he said that the koran said many things about him, so to know who he is, we had to undergo a study that took months. I read the entire koran twice. 114 chapters, 6666 verses in the koran. When I read it, the name of the prophet mohammad was mentioned in the koran four (4) places, but the name of JESUS was written 25 places. There itself, I was a little confused, why is the koran giving more preference to JESUS? And the second thing. I could not see any womans name in the koran, not the prophet mohammads mothers name, or his wifes name nor his childrens name. In the koran, theres only one woman name that I found: Mariam! The mother of Jesus. No other womans name. And in the holy koran chapter 3, the name of the chapter is Family of Mariam and the holy koran chapter 19 the name of the chapter itself is Mariam. One chapter is Mariam. So I was very curious to know why does the koran say all these things about Mariam. Holy koran chapter 3 verses 34 onwards says mary was born without original sin, she never committed any sin in her life, she was ever virgin. Koran chapter 50 verses 23 says that she went to heaven with her physical body. Even the assumption is written in the holy koran. And then about Jesus, when I read chapter 3 verses 45 to 55. There are 10 points which the koran makes about Jesus. The first thing koran says Jesus was the Word of God and the second thing Jesus was the Spirit of God and the third Jesus was Christ. So the koran gives name for Jesus: 1- word of God, 2- Spirit of God and 3- Jesus the Christ. And the koran says Jesus spoke when he was very small like 2 days old, after his birth he began to speak. The korans says that Jesus created a live bird with mud. He took some mud, formed a bird; when he breathed into it, it became a live bird. So I think that he can give life. He gave life to a mud, clay. And the koran says that Jesus cured a man born blind and a man with leprosy, etc. Curiously the koran says that Jesus gave life to dead people. Jesus went to heaven. He is still alive and he will come again. When I saw all these things in the koran my thinking was what the koran says about mohammad. According to koran, mohammad is not the word of God, is not the spirit of God, never spoke when he was 2 days old, never created any bird with mud, never cured any sick people, never raised any dead people, he himself died and according to islam he is not alive and he will not come back. So there is a lot of difference between the two prophets. I didnt call Jesus, God, you know. My idea was he is a prophet, but he is a prophet greater than mohammad. So one day I went to my friend that spent 4years in Arabic college, and I asked him How did God create the universe? He said God created the universe through his word note this THROUGH HIS WORD Then my question- Is the WORD creator or creation? Is Gods Word creator or creation. Koran says Jesus is the word of God. If my friend says that Word of God is creator, it means JESUS IS CREATOR. Even other religions recognizes his supremacy.
