WHAT: The America in Recovery Rally will be a celebratory event honoring the countless men and women who have restored their lives and gone on to be productive citizens, and The Rally also will be a FRIENDraiser, recognizing those who support our work with a barbecue buffet and both Live and Silent Auctions. WHEN: 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., Thursday, November 14th WHERE: The manufacturing facility of our sponsoring organization, Venturetech, LP., 6901 Alabonson, Houston, TX 77088 (large facility on 12 acres with lake and park). WHO: The legendary KINKY FRIEDMAN will be our guest speaker and performer, and our Emcee is Channel 13’s Co- Anchor GINA GASTON. WHY: Our non-profit, America in Recovery, provides recovering substance abusers, ex-offenders, and late-in-life folks with opportunities to find jobs, helping them to become self-sufficient.
