WHAT WE NEED TO DO TO MOVE FORWARD. Hi, everybody. All across the country, millions of responsible Cameroonians has been hurt badly by the reckless actions of the Biya administration. The value of Cameroon has plummeted. And many families are going without daily bread. We need to work hard to help millions of responsible Cameroonians get back on their feet. And while we’re not where we need to be yet, our economy is not doing any better. Food and basic commodity prices are rising. Corruption is up despite operation sparrow hawk activities. Police brutality is still in the rise. Millions of families are struggling to come up for air because they’re unable to provide food on the table in a country of plenty. Now we have to build on these failures of the regime. The CPDM government should give every Cameroonian the chance to excel in their own country. We should help more families put food on the table by helping the children of Cameroon. We should get young children off the streets of our town and involve them in to productive ventures. And we should make sure that children who can’t afford books or uniform be provided for by government. As our economy get deeper into the slump and prices keep rising, we have to turn the page on the bubble-and-bust mentality that created this mess, and build an economic structure that’s rock-solid and rewards responsibility for generations to come. We need to wind down the big sharks that give more contribution to the regime during election than creating jobs. We need to make sure private investment plays a bigger role in a developing economy like ours and end the era of expecting bailout from European nations and the international monetary fund. We need to preserve access to safe and simple business practices. We need to keep laying down rules of the road that provide room for good governance. And finally, the “jangi house” (national assembly) needs to pass a bill excluding Biya from running again as president comes 2018. The national assembly needs to pass tough regulations, guiding the recruitment in the military. As we all know no program or policy will solve all the problems created by this regime in Cameroon, and it will take time to fully recover. But if we work together, we can make changes that will bring pride to our country again. And if the national assembly is willing to set aside dirty politics and focus on what really matters, we can rebuild an economy where if you work hard, you can get ahead. Thanks, and have a great week. Interim Head of Change J.A.M
