WHAT WOULD YOU DO? You know that TV show - if it was wasnt for real I would think I was on that show. I dont put the negative stuff of being a storekeeper out there, but today I got my dander up! A customer who is always nice and friendly tells a husband and wife, (who came down the steps with 2 candles in their hands) - where they could buy them cheaper - she stands there gives them directions to the other store and gosh knows what else as it was all in a whisper. The customer did purchase the candles, but I gave them the option not to if they could get it cheaper at another store. These are regular customers who are sweet and loyal. I think I embarrassed the husband and for that I am sorry....but the NERVE....let me also add that the customer who was saying all this ALSO purchased one of the same candles...at the supposedly inflated price!! Honestly....I wasnt going to post this on Facebook and just vent to my BRU sisters (a private retail group) but I didnt want them to talk me out of it. I will not apologize for any of our prices, as I try to be as fair as I can and still make a profit. After all, that is why I work hard and devote all my time to doing what I love....to make The Cinnamon Stick the best it can be. I have not retaliated (and I could) with all the falsehoods and back stabbing that has been done to me....but I will NOT tolerate anyone coming into my store and acting so badly. Hopefully it wont take me much time to get over this...in all my 30 years of being a storekeeper, I have not had such bad behavior in my store...what happens outside I have no control over but inside I do. To all my wonderful customers...we love you and thank you for your trust and loyalty...Tired of turning the other cheek...Judy
