WHAT’S FOR LUNCH THIS MORNING? Imagine being served a hot plate of pap and chicken stew as early as six o’clock in the morning instead of the traditional soft porridge or tea for that matter! As it is, the meal, which is proper lunch in all respects, was prepared as early as five o’clock and it is still blowing hot as the pot does not leave the now glowing fire place where it was cooked. Well, the reality is that on a daily basis, the first travelers crossing in and out of Botswana at the Ramokgwebana Border Gate around six in the morning will congregate at Ms Saliwe Ndebele’s makeshift restaurant situated on the right side of the road as one approaches the border. For almost 13 years now, this 47-year-old mother of two daughters has been kicking the blankets every morning to earn a living for herself and her family by satisfying the insatiable appetites of the daily travellers… Full story: dailynews.gov.bw/news-details.php?nid=5113
