WHAT’S IN A NAME?! Yes, once when my name was fixed I was unaware and helpless to change But in adolescence When my name was linked with another My heart thrilled and overjoyed But that happiness- a short lived one Made me realize, a name is nothing- Nothing at all, unless Love and sincerity’re its roots Forbearing a name in namesake Sans true relationship Loses its dignity and validity This truth dawned very late! And me, I wish to live and die Without any names trailing behind As who calls you by name Once death comes and breath stops From next second, knowingly or unknowingly From President to pauper All’re referred, only as’ Body’! And how strange then it sounds! Hearing such remarks I often wonder, After all what’s there in a name?! ******************************************************************************
