WHAT’S ON MY MIND? 9/30/14 YOU HAVE THE VICTORY!! I don’t know what you may be facing today, whether it is an emotional battle or a physical, or spiritual one. I want to remind you that God causes us to have the victory!! Victory is defined as the overcoming of an enemy or antagonist, or the achievement of mastery or success in a struggle or endeavor against odds or difficulties. In 2 Corinthians 2:14 the Message Bible says, ”In the Messiah, Christ leads us from place to place in one PERPETUAL VICTORY parade!!” I love that picture!! We all love the Macy’s Day parade and from God’s perspective that’s how HE sees the Victory we ALREADY have in Christ!! A perpetual parade!! This same scripture in the Amplified Bible reads like this. “But thanks be to God, Who in Christ always leads us in triumph (as trophies of Christ’s victory) and through us spreads and makes evident the fragrance of the knowledge of God everywhere”. I have always loved perfume! My philosophy is if your going to wear it let the fragrance permeate the room when you walk in. What’s the point of wearing a fragrance that is so light you can barely detect it! Every time we experience a victory, we should permeate the place with the fragrant knowledge of God through our Praise!! The Bible says that Jesus was made manifest to destroy the works of the Devil. All we have to do is look around and see destruction from that serpent. Yet we read in Colossians 2:14-15, “Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross. IN THIS WAY HE disarmed the spiritual demonic rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his VICTORY over them on the cross.” That’s the truth, but do we as believers enforce our authority over him? God gave us that right when he said “You go into all the world, preach the gospel, and tread on serpents and scorpions for you have all the authority over the wicked one and no weapon forged against you will prosper!!” That doesn’t mean the serpent won’t try, but his plans will fail. God isn’t going to come do what HE has given US authority to do!! Go and enforce your Victory through the power of HIS WORD AND SPIRIT!! Food for thought!
