WHAT’S UP MY BROTHAS AND SISTAS PT.5. Dont Accept the First Offer in the Beginning, (Look, listen, consider, and then compare) Romans 12:10 (KJV) “Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;” Amen Genesis 4:5 (KJV) “And to his offering he had not respect”. What is God saying here? He is saying that The Lord wanted to add an additional comment together, along with his cancellation or reversal of his opinion, belief or judgment, to the extent or degree of Cain’s offering. That the Lord wanted to express his reaction or feelings concerning the ones that belong or were associated with Cain after he made his initial presentation or contribution of his gifts for him to inspect (look, listen and consider) for discussion. That the lord listened and held it in mind and received it and accepted to some degree or relation. But he had to compare Cain’s offering to Abel’s offering. The Lord didn’t have an answer until he saw Abel’s point of view or what he had to offer. But refused to accept, believe or agree but not disagree. And asked him not to do anything on his own. But is willing to do something, willing to accept anything, willing to allow Cain to give his point of view and willing to give his own point of view. But the lord did not accept what Cain offered until he saw Abel, and what Abel had to offer. And the Lord gave Cain’s offering respect by listening to what he had to say, looking at his possessions and then taking them all into consideration. • Thats what he meant by “And to his offering he had not respect”. Amen Dont Accept the First Offer, Even if the first offer is reasonable. You should always look, listen, consider, and then compare, no matter how attractive the first offer may seem. Amen We always look out for or listen out for, who or what has the most to offer, then accept it. And sometimes we take the first one, for the fear of being without, losing out or missing out. But we have to be careful because the one, the things and the places that offer, present or contribute the most to our wants and needs or gives us enough to sustain us morning, noon and night. And has the ability to stupefy and excite us by their actions which causes us to feel happy, refreshed and energetic. Isn’t necessarily or always good for us. What looks good on the outside may not be good enough for us on the inside and what sounds good on the inside may not be good for us as well. That is why we need someone else, someplace else or something else to compare it to. In order for us to considering. We owe them that much for offering. Why must we do this? Because there are some people, places and things that are vain and selfish, gossipers and complainers, in other words talk behind our backs and whisper about us. And they are barely seen when you need or want them, especially when things and times get difficult. They may be worthless, insubstantial or fleeting. They cause us to grieve for those we inadvertently let go, shunned away, judge wrongfully or refuse because what they had to offer wasn’t good enough or they had too little to offer. Amen They say the first thing that comes to mind without thinking or considering what they are about to say and how it’s going to have an effect on the conversation they are about to offer (firstling). They also offer by gossiping and complaining a lot about everyone, everything and everyplace. Amen But if you take the time look and listen, you will find that all this comes from people that are KEEPERS. Meaning that they hold on to everything they see and hear. They do this by holding everything in until its time to release (offer) it to someone else. And they watch over or guard their own possessions and the attitudes, personalities and characteristics that they are possessed by. Amen That’s why we must be careful not to accept the first offer. Everyone and everyplace has someone or something to offer, and just because they may offer the most, doesn’t mean they are not mentally deranged, abusive, extremely annoying and always angry. In other words “CRAZY” Corinthians 5:11 (KJV) “But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolator, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.” Amen Genesis 4:5 (KJV) “And to his offering he had not respect”. God is saying that we must look, listen and consider, they deserve that much respect. James 1:19 (KJV) “Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:” Amen • But Dont Accept the First Offer that man makes, in the Beginning • Dont Accept the First Offer that woman makes in the Beginning • Dont Accept the First Offer that job makes, in the Beginning • Dont Accept the First Offer that school makes, in the Beginning • Dont Accept the First Offer that leader makes, in the Beginning • Dont Accept the First Offer that real estate agent makes, in the Beginning • Dont Accept the First Offer that community makes, in the Beginning Amen Tellem’ that you’ll look, listen and consider Matthew 10:14 (KJV) “And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.”
