WHEC-TV ran a story about the School District vote tomorrow. Watch the video below, which includes the following statement from Superintendent Crane: It certainly is an investment in our kids, its what we were able to get in public education, its what our grandchildren should get. Superintendent Jeff Crane says his district remains under the average for expenditures in the state but says decreased state funding is making it difficult to stay afloat and tapping into the $4-million reserve is not an option. “I will not put the fiscal integrity of the District in jeopardy. There are districts in New York right now who are now what theyre calling financially insolvent because they used their reserves instead of saving them for the emergency which they were designed to do they used them to fix problems like this. whec/news/stories/S3476004.shtml?cat=565
