WHEN GOD SAYS NO 2 For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. 2 Corinthians 12:8 (KJV) In his epistle to the Corinthians, Apostle Paul in exalting and encouraging the Corinthian church told them of how he was given a thorn in the flesh, the bible called him a messenger of satan...there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me 2 Timothy 4:11 (KJV). He was a man that was filled with so much revelations and he knew how to tap into the heavenly wisdom and download the mind of El-Elyon. When you read through his epistles from churches to individuals , you will need the same Holy Spirit that opened the flood gate of his mind to write and deep meditation to be able to decode or digest what God is revealing through him. In order to avoid being overtaken by the spirit of pride, in order to keep him in check so he wont get carried away, killing the vision of God for his life and aborting the mission, God gave him a thorn in the flesh to deal with him...a messenger of satan sent by God. When the pain became too much he ran to God for help...Three times I pleaded with the Lord about this, that it should leave me. 2 Corinthians 12:8 ESV but God says NO, I wont take him away rather I will make my grace sufficient for you...And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. 2 Corinthians 12:9 (KJV). When God says No to certain prayers and desires, its for a purpose, there is a divine plan for it. But its left for you to be able to decode why God is saying No to my request, why am I delayed even after all my prayers, fasting, seed sowing, sacrifices etc. These are all good but when God invest something in you, He must preserve His investment, even if it means holding onto your answers for a little while or saying outright no to that particular request but will always give you the best option. He gave Apostle Paul the best option...His unlimited grace and thats all you need.
