WHEN I WAS A KID WARSTORY: In seventh or eighth grade neck bands - TopicsExpress

WHEN I WAS A KID WARSTORY: In seventh or eighth grade neck bands were the thing. My parents each factory workers made around $40.00 each a week; so they’re not going to waste money on a neck band. I took one of our dog collars it was black with silver studs, I clean it up and wore it to school. My mother was hip and let me grow my hair so I had hair down the middle of my back and no one could see it was a dog collar. Rich kids were coming up to me and asking, “That’s a cool neck band man, where’d you get it?” I said, “Head Shop downtown Kalamazoo man.” No kidding I pulled it off!
