WHEN LENS SPEAKS LOUDER LESSON The prize-winning entries of the World Press Photo Contest 2014, the worlds largest annual press photography contest, were announced February 14, 2014. A moonlit image of migrants trying to get mobile phone signals on a Djibouti beach won the World Press Photo of the Year award for US photographer John Stanmeyer. A 19-member jury awarded the prestigious prize were announced at a press conference in Amsterdam, where World Press Photo is based.
