WHEN ONE BECAME THREE At Mapesbury Lodge 4084 at Freemasons Hall on Wednesday 24th September, WBro Bernie Reddan, WM, conducted a double initiation. Nothing unusual there, you might think. But the two people he initiated at his last full meeting before installing his successor were his son Danny, now a Lewis, (18 years 6 months) and his father Michael (79 years 1 month). Guests (including the visiting officer, WBro Len Bullman SLGR, and the past Metropolitan Grand Inspector for the lodge,WBro Michael Singleton PSGD) were treated to a feast of ritual, shared in typical Mapesbury fashion by many of the lodge brethren, and a delicious festive board at the Kingsway Hall Hotel. Our two new brethren could not have taken their first step in finer style, and now three generations of the Reddan family are Mapesbury men. Thanks to WBro Almoner for his photographs.
