WHEN THE ABANDONED POOR DEFEATED THE EVILS WAY. For nine (9) months, thirteen (13) days and four (4) hours at least we were vindicated on the half-baked pestering case (docketed as Civil Case No. 723) filed against us, as a consequence on our protest against Black Sand Mining, which we succeeded on our campaign with the pull-out of the Mineral Processing Plant structures. That apart from the tactical maneuvers to delay the proceedings and the misdirection of false supporters for capricious political motives which tried our patience at times, we again triumphed - that with the sour victory, despite the odds and having been abandoned with the belief that we cant make it with our own, we proved them wrong. (momentary silence in the court room) Then I signaled the judge on the negative. Judge: Are the counsels for the defendants around? (silence). The judge having seen Atty. Aldo Munoz in the courtroom asked the fellow, Atty. Munoz, Are You Appearing for the Defendants? Atty. Munoz: No, your honor, I am withdrawing. Judge: If you are withdrawing, your should have informed us. There is no record of your withdrawal. Judge: Are the defendants around? I wave my hand for recognition. Judge: (on a bit of ire) Alright, CASE DISMISSED! Now, our turn to file the appropriate cases against the people harassing us in our efforts to protect the environment
