In Proverbs 19:16, God says: “whoever keeps my Commandments keeps life, but whoever shows contempt for their ways shall die.” you wonder where the link between materialism in church (which he appears to defend) and crime was. I wish to draw your attention to the Book of 1 Timothy 6:9-10 which says “but those who desire to be rich fall into temptation, into a snare, into many senseless and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. It is through this craving that some have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many pangs. Mathew 6:24 further states: “No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate one and love the other or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. There is no compatibility between the Bible and the gun. The same Mathew urges us to always “turn the other cheek”. I do not condone any type of killing but the fact is, Kenyans are butchered every day. Do we all have to apply for guns? We know of church wars over leadership and I can only imagine what armed rival pastors would do to each other or a flock that wants to forcefully eject them.
