WHEN YOURE BACKED AGAINST A WALL, STAND FIRM! The mighty Red Sea in front, the mighty Egyptian army at the rear, what are the Israelites to do? As fear and anguish gripped the Israelites, Moses stood upon a hill and proclaimed these words for all to hear: Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again (Exodus 14:13 NIV). A short itme later, the mighty Red Sea parted and the Israelites crossed over to the other side on dry land--not a muddy river bottom but dry land! Then as quickly as it parted, the mighty Red Sea caved in on the mighty Egyptian army and drowned them all. The mightiest army in the world at the time could not hold back the power of God when He acted. Today, there may be a mighty uncrossable ocean to your front and lies of the enemys power to your rear but the same word rings out from the heavenlies for you today: Do not be afraid! Stand firm! You are about to witness the Lords deliverance. Paul has written these words to all of us: stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong (1 Corinthians 16:13 NIV). As you go out into your world today, go forth without fear of the enemys plans to defeat you; rather putting your faith and trust in the God who will never fail you. Today stand firm, be courageous and do not allow fear of the enemy to enter your heart. BE BLESSED AND STRENGTHENED IN HIS POWER THIS DAY!
