WHEN visionary becomes missionary you then have capable men and women who are ready to lead the society. In the year 2014-the year of our Lord Jesus Christ, I have always been forensically ponderous of coming up with something that has to anchor the developmental advancement of my place of birth- Ekiti. Given the infallibility and inexpressibility of our intimidating intellectual prowess in Ekiti, the mystification and sophistry of the affairs of governance should not be left for the feather-weights, neophytes and light-minded ones in a State that parades iconoclastic giants like ours. Owing to this and also given the fact that my Senatorial District will be governorship favoured, come 2018, and fielding Dapo Ipoola as a candidate to take over from Gov Fayemi will not be a dream too tall with the entirety of its demystification of pursuance. And having come from a place-Omuo that is so politically ostracized should negotiate a desideratum that will succinctly put issues in clinical perspective. With Gov Fayemi’s effulgent and hunky-dory performances in Ekiti, the bastion of hope- good governance that he had pioneered in Ekiti must be sustained, and I see Dapo Ipoola as the rightful persona that is so democratically resourceful in puritanically tendering for the total welfare of Ekiti people. My people, this is the tenet in which I have built my unflagging and unflappable citadel of hope and faith, come2018. Your unflinching espouse is a sine qua non for the realization of this clarion exercise! Am save in the knowledge that it is doable and achievable if Lee Kuan could become the PM of Singapore at that callow age-31. If Gen. Yakubu Gowon could become Head of State at age 31 then, Dapo Ipoola can lead Ekiti aright. If Ken Saro Wiwa could become a Federal Commissioner at age 28, who told you that D.I. cannot preside over the affairs of 2.5m people? If Prof Pat Utomi could become a presidential aide at age 27, Dapo Ipoola then is not too exuberant in knowledge and wisdom to govern Ekiti. And if Solomon in the bible could exercise such leadership wizardry over the people of Israel then, Dapo Ipoola will be the Solomon of Ekiti people. Ekiti people, this is my vision! Your vision! Our vision!
