WHER MY BASS FISHING BEGAN - Had my mate Brad & family over last night & we got talking about Bass fishing. Brad introduced me to Bass back in about 1992. At the time the impoundment thing didnt exist & Bass were considered to stop at the Noosa River. You would here rumours here & there that they could be found in & around the Maryborough/Hervey Bay area, but getting info was always hard. So anyhow I decided I would battle my way to the first spot we found them. Back then there was a car track in. If you had a car you had a 4WD. Brads 4WD was an old Toyota Corona. If memory serves me correctly our last trip there (pre 1995) a large stick shot up through the floor between my legs & we ripped the muffler off the car. I learnt 3 things today. 1 - Its much further on foot. 2 - Bass are still there. 3 - It was easier at 21 as opposed to 41. I will post a few vids later so you can here me wheezing. When I got home my Dad was here & I had to apologise. I dragged him in there when he was a few years older than me now & he fell in the drink. Now I know how he feels !!!
