WHERE DO YOU HANGOUT ? Today, I was scheduled to meet a friend in a certain coffee joint in Nairobi. Unfortunately he couldnt make it on time so I took that waiting time to work on my startups business model. On my right table, I could spot the CEO of The Top mid-sized company in Kenya, 2014/2015. He is a young man that I had met before but hadnt pitched / requested for anything yet from his company. As he was about to leave, I quickly approached him, did a quick introduction though he could easily remember me. I went straight to what I wanted. First, I pitched to him on Afrom Media Business Model. Later I pushed him to create employment opportunities for youths. To my surprise, he promised to offer 2 internship opportunities on Social Media & Public Relations as well as invite me in a stakeholders breakfast meeting which will happen soon. We also exchanged contacts & promised to keep in touch. As my friend delayed, I decided to get back to the office for some work, later in the evening, we walked back to the same coffee joint, this time with my colleague in CMCF. Coincidentally, the first person he came across was his friend who is currently working in one of the leading media houses. This made it easier to pitch one of the organization development strategies in 2015, they exchanged contacts & promised to keep in touch. By the time my friend was coming in for the meeting, two different deals had been sealed. His was the third one. I am going to bed as a happy man & getting convinced that I need to hangout out in such joints more often. #HighlyFavoured #AwesomeGod
