WHIPLASH - This is without doubt an incredible film. I wasnt sure how much Id enjoy watching a film abut a drummer; it turns out, I enjoyed it a lot! Its not a film (just like The Theory Of Everything) that requires a knowledge about the subject it is involved with. The film features amazingly intense performances from JK Simmons and Miles Teller, who both leave no doubt in my mind that they can really act! Apart from the performances, the films storyline is incredibly engaging and at one point had me sweating in my seat from how intense it was and actually had me pulling faces because of how certain characters might react to what other characters were doing. I would actually advise anyone who wants to see this film not to watch the trailer, as seems to be the fashion nowadays, the very end of the film is featured in the trailer, so although I am posting a link, please dont watch it! I would be very surprised if this film isnt on my top ten at the end of the year; if it is not, then it will have been a very good year for film indeed! https://youtube/watch?v=7d_jQycdQGo
