WHO DO YOU TRUST It seems difficult these days to find someone to trust. We don’t trust our government to do what they are supposed to be doing. We can’t trust the news we read in the paper or online or hear on TV – that information depends on someone else editing what they want us to hear. There are even preachers (?) on TV we can’t trust to deliver God’s word honestly. But there is one we can all trust without reservation. “Those who know your name trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you.” (Psalms 9:10) You see God has never let us down. And, not only can we trust Him about spiritual needs but we can also trust Him concerning physical needs. Be not therefore anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?... Your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.—Mathew 6:31-32. Let us trust God to care for us! This was the life that Jesus lived. He would not even make stones into bread; nor eat until His Father bade Him and sent the angels to minister to Him. He speaks out of His heart when He bids us trust our Fathers care. God is not stingy in his gifts. Not only did He give the fish to eat but also gave bread when He fed the crowds. He gave flowers leaves to gather in the sunlight and beautiful blooms to display His glory. You have been adopted into His Family, and may call Him Abba, Father. Surely this act of grace shows a special love on His part. The ungodly may worry about their maintenance; but a child of God may be sure that His needs will be supplied. Father God, in you we place all of our trust. Thank you for taking care of not only our spiritual needs but our physical needs as well. Thank you for all the gifts you provide. This we pray in Jesus name. And the saints said …. Amen and Amen.
