WHO IS A MAN OF GOD, A man of God is the man that has all the spiritual attributes of God, An example of such man of God, is Elisha, 2Kings, he was especially know by people from all walks of life as the man of God 2Kings:4;21-22, He must have spiritual spiritual eyes to see things, He must have the authority of God, whatever he command must happen & whatever he says must come to pass,. example, 2kings6:18, when the Syrian soldiers were struck with blindness, and when he prophesied suplusity of food in Israel during a period of heavy famine, 2kings7:1 healing of Naaman of leprosy, 2kings5:1, etc, the following are some of the characteristics of a true man of God; (1) He must maintain intimate & persevering communion with God, (2) He must be a holy man, fully set apart from religious & moral compromise of his day & dedicate himself to the Lord God, (3) He should be bold enough to condemn sins, no matter how close or highly placed such a sinner is to him or to the church, (3) The spirit of God should be continually be upon him, enably him to speak with spiritual authority, as Gods representative & proclaim the word of God faithfully.(5) He must have enormous stature & spiritual gifts & his ministry must be affirmed by God with mighty miracles, signed & wonders. but how many so called men of God today have one or all the above characteristics to be addressed as man of God they are very few in Nigeria as far as i know. rather, what we have today, are the self acclaimed or proclaimed men of God , who have little or nothing to give out, rather, their stock in trade is how to exploit & extort the poor members of their congregations of the the little they have & the rich men of their wealth. Thy ride exotic cars & live in mass ions to the detriment of their members.They have little or no time for their members, & only have time for themselves, their families. you can only find them in full attendance in very big occasions dinning & winning with the rich & mighty men & women of the society. They dont have or command the word of God, but themselves, they can no longer quote the bible off- hand. You should stop seeing & addressing such people as man of God, rather, they should be called by their name or the titles they have giving to themselves, period.
