WHO IS THIS MAN JESUS? He Lived Amongst Us..... Chapter 10 Healing Miracles (Matthew 4:23-25) -The people with contagious diseases have to leave isolation. They are waiting for Jesus at the City gate. The City gate; I hear the bell of a leper! Lets step aside. Nathanael; Stay away from us! Dont come near, youre unclean! Dont touch him! Hes contagious! Contagious also unclean man; Jesus, if You want, You can heal me! Jesus; Because you trust Me...very well, be healed! Contagious also unclean man; I feel a change within myself! Jesus; Now go and show yourself to the priest according to the law of Moses. Jesus; For you have a right, like everyone else, to have your place in society. -At the border near Capernaum, there was a customs office... The customs office; Matthew, are you dreaming about all of your profits? Matthew; I am, wondering about this Jesus of whom everyone is speaking...I feel attracted to his Prophet! Another customs office; Dont make me laugh! You, a customs officer, who works for the Romans, who are our enemies! The customs office; You? A man, enjoing life? Running after parties and women? He wont like you! Another customs office; Maybe youre right, but, look here He comes! Jesus; Shalom, Matthew! Would you want to become my disciples? Matthew; What? Who? Me? (Matthew 9:9-13) -Then suddenly... Matthew; Jesus, I promise: I shall follow You! Friends, great news... Im going to leave you and follow Jesus! Are you surprised? But He really wants me to follow Him! To celebrate my departure, Im giving a great banquet and Jesus shall be present. All are invited! -One of the following evening... Visitor; Jesus, look, some of these pharisees are spying. They say that its really shocking what You do. Boaz Adede; Indee! Eldest old man of the Capernaum; A fine Prophet, He is! 2nd Eldest old man of the Capernaum; Look at Him! He feasts with these corrupt customs officers and the worst scum of the town! Jesus; You understand nothing. Its not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick! Rather; think about what is written: God speaks...I desire mercy not sacrifice! HE loves a man who is compassionate and merciful! -One day, the inhabitants of Capernaum gather in the house of Simon, where Jesus is. Everyone wants to hear Him... Eldest old man of the Capernaum; Lets go and find out who Jesus is. Well follow Him discreetly. 2nd Eldest old man of the Capernaum; But we should hurry if we want to be in the house. Four (4) men also were coming...carrying a sick-man; You see? The door is blocked by people. And we cannot get in. A sick-man; Please, do something!
