WHO IS YOUR MASTER! PT 1 28/10/13 Matt 6:24 KJV No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Its a simple question, yet most of us have been hard-wired from our past experiences to have a certain perspective for our answer. Imagine for a moment: Two bosses are trying to employ you. One tells you, Im going to take everything you have; Im not going to pay you a cent. The other says, Im going to give you a generous salary plus some: bonuses, expected perks, and full benefits. Thats not a hard choice, right? But many people are working for the evil boss and wondering why their lives are so miserable. Could it be you? Jesus said, The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). Jesus is saying that, in life, you can work for one of two bosses: Jesus or the devil. Jesus wants to give you a rich and fulfilling life, but the devil just wants to take from you: take your peace, joy, your birthright, prosperity, eternity with God, success in your business, academics, marriage, your family, and eventually, your life. Which one do you want to work for? Maybe you have been unknowingly working for the devil, but you can change all that today. Put your trust in Jesus completely and begin to experience His abundant life. You will never find a better employer or master than Jesus Christ. He is calling on you come to him. PRAYER: Gracious master, the faithful and rewarding master, I praise you, in anyway I have left you behind for any master apart from you, please forgive me and have mercy upon me. May you be my master, today and forever, give me abundant grace to stick to you always in Jesus name. Amen.
