WHO SHOULD TAKE OVER KOGI STATE AT THE SUPREME COURT?. By: David Alfred-Dogwo 08034768404 When Alhaji Idris Wada was dramatically planted as chief executive of the Lord Lugard House, his name came as a terrific bolt out of the red instead of blue. Are his Commissioners, SAs, SSAs and other kitchen members equally unliked: or the usual suspects? Back on song! February 26, 2014 is the D-Day for the final World cup match. I am not pretending to be able to make any smart predictions on this one; even a doltish moron could draft the judgement. When the PDP December 3rd primary election was held in Kogi state, Wada was a complete outsider. In the party primary, Echocho beat the rest, coasting home tovictory with 361 votes, while his closest rival, Abdulrazak Isah Kutepa scored 303 votes. The likes of Chief Olushola Akanmode, the former chief of staff to the ex-vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Chief Bayo Ojo, the ex- Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation made it with 63 and 30 votes respectively. Where was Wada? February 26th shall pencil down Echocho for the Lord Lugard House Lokoja. Some school of thoughts believe that the rugged woman-judicial-tzar may call for fresh election. Even if the Supreme Court should refer to the status co and call for another election in Kogi state, Wada will not be among the contestants but Echocho will be. I have listening to Echocho saying he has no problem with Wada. Then who is the devil in his lungs? Ibrahim Idris?. Ibrahim Idris (Ibo) led us to all this mess when he came up with a man equipped with electronic management skills and massive experience running fuses for airlines, but no political arts background. It is perfectly likely that the Wada team itself might be pulling off their weight against their boss now. Why will a man, a first class pilot, with credentials such as: Nigerian Airline Transport Pilot License No.992, British Airline Transport Pilot License No.1 04990, USAlFM Air Transport Rating No.2223411, Rated on B737, B727, B707, DC8, F28, HS-125, and BAC1-11 Jet. NCAA designated Type and Instrument Rating Examiner, still have problem in handling the Affairs of a state? This is, after all, a chief executive role, not a straightforwardly artistic one like flying with the birds. Some names along with the deputy governor Engr. Yomi Awoniyi in the frame opera already has itchy feets. They may have wished to move down the road but are they seen as sufficiently heavyweight? Yomi aside from stint as deputy and his advisors to Labour and culture secretaries, they runs the Lesgislative Olympiad under the Speakers chair which is receiving its fuel from the Gowons and the Makamas. They have indeed every right to require plume taste but it is cosmetic. Wada as the boss of Kogi Opera in his financial management having been heavily criticised argued that the assessment was grossly unfair, especially in financially tricky times as this, but the Glass House is already frighted by the gongs of judicial horses even as the Ghosts themselves can watch. Ibrahim Idris (ex-governor) is the well-liked and able artistic political maradona of the PDP Philharmonic in Nigeria, who left the state cash-strapped. The controller of Wadas heart has been in godfatherism in charge of the Proms without subscribing. They like him. The world love tricky people as he is also in overall charge of the PDP media orchestras. Its not surprising that Ibro had contemplated dialogue with the Supreme Court severally but unfortunately met spiritual boundaries drawn by the Echocho guarding angels. -a move to brighter pastures that never was. The state PDP generals are saying it is best time for a change. Wada in his failure has done much to close up the most exclusive corners of the state to a broader few which has extremely won him Mr. Super Glue while Echocho has walked into the peoples hearts with clean canvass - a strong prospect. Alhaji Jibrin Isah, the former CEO, Afrik Bank, now known as Mainstreet Bank has the peoples mandate and a good presentation at the Supreme Court. Febreuary 26th will be a day for his step up. Thank you! ************** DAVID ALFRED-DOGWO Ambassador of Peace; a radical Social Justice Campaigner (SJC) and high profile member of the Nigerian Youth Advocacy for Good Governance (NIYAG) locally, regionally and federally 08034768404
