WHO remembers Highway 45 to Melber was TWO lanes? K Mart was opened in 1973 and the lot was FULL daily!!! The only roads to Mayfield were Said Road and Old Mayfield road. Bleich Road from Hendron to Lone Oak was a NARROW Chip and seal road!!!! There were FEW houses on it. The Old Poor House became the Lone Oak Football Field and Headquarters. I 24? We never HEARD of it till 74 when they STARTED it. Lourdes Hospital was new constructed. I believe it just had 4 floors. The White Haven wasnt visible and was a haunted house attraction for many teen agers!!! All the stuff from K Mart down to I 24 wasnt there. Just some nice older houses!!!
