WHOEVER IMITATES THE DISBELIEVERS WILL BE RESURRECTED WITH THEM! A WARNING from Shaykh Abdul Razzaq Al Badr He عليه الصلاة والسلام said in an authentic hadith: Whoever imitates a people; then he is from them. And this—slaves of Allah—is a tremendous calamity upon the one who has been tested with that. Whoever imitates the disbelievers and continues to imitate them until Allah takes his soul; he will be assembled with them. And with Allah refuge is sought. Allah the Exalted said: Gather those who committed wrong, and their kinds (Soorah As Saffat 37:22) More than one scholar of Tafsir has said ‘their kinds’ means their likes and their counterparts. This means every person shall be assembled with those who used to do actions similar to him. And Allah the Exalted said: And when the souls are paired (Soorah At Takwir 81:7) Concerning the meaning of this verse, more than one scholar of Tafsir has said: The people will be assembled on the Day of Judgment adjacent to those who used to do actions like their actions. Therefore, who is pleased for himself—O slaves of Allah— that he should be assembled on the Day of Judgment with a sinning disbeliever or a destroyed criminal; gathered with him side by side!! This due to his imitating him, blind following him, and being impressed by him. And with Allah refuge is sought. Slaves of Allah; verily this is a tremendous calamity with many of the Muslim youth, male and female. They have been put to trial as it relates to their clothing, by imitating the enemies of Allah. They mimic every fashion found with them and they take upon every clothing trend. Rather for some of the people, following the fashion trends of the disbelievers and their customs has become a necessity, they do not neglect or abandon it, rather they follow it down to the details.
