WHOLENESS To even know our wholeness, much less accept it, we - TopicsExpress

WHOLENESS To even know our wholeness, much less accept it, we must look far beyond our current focus, beyond our tolerances, and beyond our momentary preferences. It is natural to enjoy one favourite emphasis in life that provides gratification. The same is true about the different parts of our own being. The challenge is to know the wholeness that includes and utilises our every connection without partitioning, limiting or separating. The greater power of life is that which coordinates, integrates, and synthesises all its parts into seamless harmony. From the viewpoint of the whole, all parts are intrinsic and necessary. For example, is your sleep less necessary than your waking life? Are your unconscious responses less meaningful than your cognitive awareness? Have your struggles, failures, regrets, and embarrassments not shaped your character as surely as your joys and accomplishments? Those who only chase after the light, who only pursue rainbows, and who only surround themselves with artificial comforts are set apart from themselves as surely as those who only know darkness, and only view life as an invitation to misery. An earnest search for wholeness may begin with forgiveness, or it may begin with planting ones feet on terra firma. In whatever way it begins, an earnest examination of ones own wholeness within an extended community and larger environment will surely result in greater compassion and depth of concern for all of life. from Glenda Greens book The Keys of Jeshua
