WHOOPS! I HOPE I DIDNT OFFEND ANYONE...(not that the cast and crew even notices my humble opinions anyway) Just watched some great creatures being created on Syfys Faceoff. I realized that when I kept stating that Verlox and some of the other creatures reminded me of something off Faceoff, that could have been misinterpreted as an insult to the professional work done with the makeup on THE QUEST. Those competitors are not as immaculate as The Quest creators, when it comes to detail and realism. Faceoff competitors are quite masterful, but nowhere near what was done with Verlox or The Ogre, or The Hag. When I made the comparison, I meant that these makeups remind us of how effortlessly someone can create something magical and magnificent out of molds and plaster or whatever. To the untrained eye, Faceoff makeup is of course nothing that regular people could pull off, but still is amazing. Of course when the camera goes close, you can see the imperfections and that they are rushed at times ALL OF THE CREATIONS ON THE QUEST WERE IMPECCABLE and by no means amateuristic. I meant no disrespect. Give Mike Elizalde his due, for these masterpieces.
