WHOOPTY -DOO, ALISON REDFORD GOT A STANDING OVATION. WHAT CRAP! Alison Redford got a standing ovation. That tells you more about the whole PC party and vote all of the MLAs that were at this dog and pony show behind closed doors. Reminds me of so many corporate board meetings that it was necessary for me to attend as a CEO and general manager. As a young 33-year-old I was a general manager of the major Alberta feed milling company. The Board of Directors had made some glaring mistakes in reporting to their annual meeting, but because none of the older long-standing members of the Board of Directors or the president wanted to take the hit, I was told that I would have to take the hit for them, and they would pay me $20,000 to do so. $20,000 in 1972 was a lot of money, and I would have turned it down because I did not want to have anything to do with corruption, but because they would use me as the fall guy anyway, I accepted the $20,000 and let them do what they had to do in a way to save their skin. They came out of their close sessions and announced to the public that they had dealt with the problem and that they were all on side, and they were all excited that they got the problem behind them, so the public shareholders all clapped their hands and gave the president a standing ovation. De Ja vu, all over again. Same crap, different pile. Anyone, or all of them combined, if it is true that they gave her a standing ovation, should be fired forth with by the citizens of Alberta, but unfortunately we have no mechanism to do that midstream. There absolutely must be a way after the new government is formed in 2016 to immediately insist that we have recall legislation in place, because all parties will support recall legislation as long as they are not the ones in power at the time that it is demanded by the electorate.
