WHY CANT I FIND THE MOTIVATION TO LOSE WEIGHT? Weight loss does - TopicsExpress

WHY CANT I FIND THE MOTIVATION TO LOSE WEIGHT? Weight loss does not start on the treadmill; it starts in your head. Knowing that you have to lose weight is one thing. Convincing yourself to embark on a weight loss program that may include many months of hard work is another. Finding the motivation to lose weight is a battle well worth your time to fight. It can be a time of tremendous empowerment. THE BIG PUSH Motivation is simply a big push from your inner desires. Why you cant find the motivation to lose weight is rooted in your past behaviors. You may have started a weight-loss program so many times that youve lost count. The key word here is started. That implies that you have never reached your goal. If a deeply desired goal is not attained after repeated attempts, the motivation to try again becomes less urgent. Along with the loss of motivation, youll experience a sense of disappointment which only exacerbates your feelings of inadequacy. PAST FAILURES GET REPLAYED Like a reel of film that keeps playing the same scene over and over again, thats what your brain does with the stories of your life. Your brain remembers 10 years ago when you were determined to lose weight. You found an exercise program that excited you. You gave up the junk foods and filled your refrigerator with the good stuff. And yet weeks, or even months into trying to reach your goal, you stopped. For whatever reason, you quit on your dream of losing weight. That may have been the first of many attempts to lose weight. When you watch the movie replay, all you see is failure. KEEPING MOTIVATION UP Finding and keeping your motivation requires letting go of your past attempts. Stop watching the movie. The you from 10 years ago doesnt exist; not even the you of a year ago. Your failure to lose weight and keep it off comes from a belief that because you never have, you never will. By turning your back on the past and facing towards a future that you deeply desire -- where youre strong and fit -- you will tap into your determination. Belief in yourself and your goal will help you find the motivation to lose weight -- this time for good. CONSIDERATIONS Keep a victory journal. There is nothing so motivational than seeing your wins in print. Writing down how and when you exercise; how much weight youve lost or how many inches youve pared; how good you feel -- all these will keep you on purpose. Stay positive. Replace every negative thought with positive reinforcement. Reward yourself. Replacing your whole wardrobe after losing a size is probably not a good idea; because your plan may be to lose 2 or 3. But go out and buy at least one item of clothing that makes you feel fabulous. ╔═════════════ ೋღ ღೋ ══════════════╗ ♥LIKE ♥SHARE ♥COMMENT ♥FOLLOW ME ♥FRIEND ME♥ ♥✿´¯`*•.¸¸✿Follow me for daily recipes, fun & handy tips, motivation, DIY ideas and feel free to share your favorite things too:) Join us here for weight loss support, healthier recipes, health tips, humor, inspiration and motivation, helping to change one life at a time...join us by clicking https://facebook/groups/DebbiesSkinnyDreamTeam To Start your journey Click here>>> datucke.EatLessFeelFull
