WHY I BELIEVE THAT THIS HYPOTHESIS IS CREDIBLE I have a chilling narration that I heard from a Cong MLAs aide and a friend of mine that makes me think that the grand plan of Congress to destabilize the country explained in the forwarded post could be quite true. In Oct-Nov 1990 there were a spate of communal clashes in Karnataka, Andhra Pradhesh and Maharashtra. Those days, communal clashes lasted usually between 1 to 3 days where the clashes started, then peaked, police intervened and detained the hooligans and then the violence subsided. However, the pattern in these states were different: - In Karnataka (Ramanagara and Chenna pattana), the violence started, subsided, again started, subsided and again started and subsided. The violence went on in 3 cycles for 9 days till Veerendra Patil, the then Congress CM resigned. - After Karnataka, the communal violence started in AP. It went on for 9 -10 days and after Chenna reddy, the then Cong CM resigned, the violence stopped immediately. - After AP, the communal violence started in Maharashtra. One cycle was over in 3 days and the second cycle just started. On the 4th day, Sharad Pawar, then a Cong CM of Maharashtra instead of being Maha to attend to the issue took a flight to delhi with a suitcase and very soon, on the 4th day itself, the violence stopped in Maharashtra. Now here is what happened in the background according to my friend who got this info from a Cong MLA who had first hand information about a meeting between few revolting MLAs, Rajiv Gandhi and Bangarappa (Who became Karnataka CM after Veerendra Patil): When Veerendra Patil took over, the state exchequer was empty and he had to do something seriously to get the state economy back on track. He became strict in collecting excise duties from the liquor barons and had put up check posts right in front of the factory. The liquor barons as a result, had to dish out huge sums of money in the form of tax and they obviously didnt like it. One such baron went to Bangarappa with a big suitcase and asked him to use the money and bring down the govt. Simultaneously, Rajiv Gandhi who was the then LS opposition leader, felt that the CMs had started becoming authorities unto themselves and had to be cut to size. Specifically, every CM had to contribute a certain amount of money to the party fund and Rajiv Gandhi demanded Rs 5 Cr per month(Big money in the early 90s). Veerendra Patil refused saying that he can only contribute Rs 3 cr as that is the amount that can be generated through an under-the-table corruption and for 5 cr, it had to be over-the-table open corruption which he didnt want to indulge in. Rajiv Gandhi was quite upset with Veerendra Patils disobedience and wanted to bring him down. So, from the top, Rajiv Gandhi wanted Veerendra Patil to go and from the bottom, Bangarappa and a few liquor barons wanted Veerendra Patil to go. And the stage was set. Rajiv Gandhi, Bangarappa with his supporters held a meeting in Nandi Hills, hatched a plan to introduce communal disturbances, stage a revolt based on the situation of communal disturbance and thus force Veerendra Patil to resign. It was executed as planned and this is why the communal violence was restarted every time it had stopped and came to a halt only after Veerendra Patil resigned. The same pattern repeated in AP and Chenna Reddy resigned. In Maharashtra Sharad Pawar fell in line and escaped the sword. Sometime after I heard this from my friend, I also got to hear that the grapevine was quite widespread and that even the pawnshop vendors in Ramanagara and Chenna Pattana knew that the violence was carried out at Congs behest. MORAL OF THE STORY: Congress is quite capable of doing anything for the sake of power and the hypothetical grand plan outlined in the shared post sounds quite possible and is very dangerous for the country. The minimum that we can do to avert this is to spread the awareness by sharing this and a social media awareness about such possibility can thwart the plans of Congress.
