WHY I RESPECT PRESIDENT JONATHAN President Jonathan has demonstrated to Nigerians that he is a true democratic who allows everybody to say their mind. This is why everybody say whatever they like in the PDP because there is freedom of expression in the party. But it is not so in some other political parties where only one man dictates who should be who or what. Those political are quiet because the members have no say on matters that concern the party and the members; it is a one man show! It is a Master-houseboy relationship where the house owner dictates tune and the houseboy must dance to the tune whether he likes it or not! I believe we have outgrown such a situation. Again, I respect President Jonathan he shown that education does aid leadership. This is so because he is only Nigerian leader-either military or elected that has not close down media organization irrespective of their shortcomings. He also adheres to democratic rules which is why he didnt remove from office the governors of Adamawa, Yobe and Borno States where we currently have a Emergency Rule. If it were to be former President Obasanjo, he would have suspended the governors. Also, many Nigerians say that the action former President Obasanjo took against Odi and Zakibia should be replicated in those three states where the Boko Haram sects hold sway. But I ask, were the militants who killed the Police men in Odi or soldiers in Zakibia killed? Was it not the innocent people of Odi and Zakibia who were going about their daily activities that paid for the sin they didnt commit? Do we sincerely want the unfortunate incident that happened in Odi and Zakibia to be repeated in Yobe, Borno and Adamawa? I think no Nigerian would want such an incident to be repeated in any other part of the country! So, President Jonathan is handling the Boko Haram insurgency with the desired care and I think we should support him.
