WHY I WANT THE USAMRIID TO ABSORB THE CDC... HOW MUCH DOES THE CDC COST TAXPAYERS? $4.4 billion dollars IS IT EFFECTIVE? Well, lets just say this...the CDC was started in 1946 to combat malaria by killing mosquitoes. In 1946 there were 74,600 malaria cases and 169 reported deaths. In 2013 there were 198 million cases of malaria and 584,000 estimated deaths. I think they failed miserably at their objective. HOW UNHELPFUL ARE THEY? Yes, but public officials think they should always have a larger pot of taxpayer money, no matter how badly they have misspent, misprioritized and misused the taxpayer money they already have. It is clear that the CDC cannot be trusted when it comes to giving advice about vaccinations. Sadly, money seems to talk over protecting Americans lives. Over the years, evidence has shown that the CDC continually lies, withholds evidence and fixes data to obtain the results that they want to achieve. Due to their continual dishonesty, many children have suffered lifelong disabilities and as the flu shot article revealed, elderly have died as a result. This is a tragic waste of the future potential of thousands of children worldwide. How much longer are parents going to continue to trust this corrupt and dangerous organization when it comes to the health of their children? Its time we let the USAMRIID absorb the CDC. Maybe under military management, we can see less top-down management and multiple agencies handling infectious disease and start to see more of a streamlined process, one the Americans can put their trust back in. One that will actually fulfill what tje CDC website claims it does, The CDC increases the health security of our nation. As the nation’s health protection agency, CDC saves lives and protects people from health threats. It seems that with too many federal agencies vying for a piece of the taxpayer pie, we have arguments between various agencies over control and ownership of an infectious disease problem. This is not helpful and seems to be a waste of taxpayer money. I believe bureaucratic discussion should be replaced with immediate action, and we can bypass this discussion by having the USAMRIID absorb the CDC.
