WHY I WILL NOT BE TAKING MY FAMILY TO SEE NOAH THIS WEEKEND OR ANY - TopicsExpress

WHY I WILL NOT BE TAKING MY FAMILY TO SEE NOAH THIS WEEKEND OR ANY OTHER DAY AT THE THEATER... If you are one of the masses that allow the world and its big budget advertising to sway you, you might just be going to see Noah over the weekend, staring Russell Crow. I am not. I refuse to give my money to someone (the director) who so deliberately says that he wants the Christian’s money because it is as good as anyone else’s money. If you are one of those that actually does their research, you will know that this movie is far from the truth, no matter what the advertising says. It portrays God’s destruction of the world as a result of the lack of environmental activism as well as overpopulation. It describes Noah as an eco-terrorist and the world’s first environmentalist. It portrays him as a callous, dark, drunken, axe wielding murderer, who threatens to kill his oldest son’s wife and their unborn daughter because he doesn’t want the world to be repopulated. It describes Methuselah as a witch doctor who guides Noah spiritually. It portrays Noah as a man who uses Satan and his fallen angels to protect him while he is building the ark. Oh… come on, Pastor Art… this is just literary license. No big deal. I say… WRONG!. It is a blatant attempt to exploit Christianity and politicize and twist Biblical truth. I say… I will not stand for it. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Besides, who should you believe and support. Paramount, who wants to make big money off the unsuspecting Christian populous, the majority of which will not do their research, or God’s Word? Do you want to believe Darren Aronofsky, director, who admittedly says about the movie, “anything you are expecting, you are (expletive) wrong. Noah is the least Biblical film ever made. I don’t even believe that it is a religious story… I think it is a great fable that is part of many different religions and spiritual practices.” Really? That is who we are supposed to believe, no matter what the advertisers say? In Variety Magazine in 2012 Aronofsky tells us what the Noah story is really about: “It’s about environmental apocalypse which is the biggest theme, for me, right now for what’s going on this planet. So I think it’s got these big, big themes that connect with us. Noah was the first environmentalist.” Really ? Yet many people, believers and non-believers will flock to the theatre like sheep, believing and accepting what is on the screen as truth. However, the problem is when “artistic license” cancels out biblical truth and an allegedly “biblically based” movie becomes a two hour infomercial - full of blatant Hollywood propaganda! It is wrong for man to proclaim something as holy, and then do the research (prov. 20:25)… which is just what has happened as some of the respected leaders of the Church have said, “Oh, it’s just a movie… NRB president, Jerry Johnson, stated that Christians should simply separate truth from fiction and “pass the popcorn. Not this Christian. So, do your homework or not. You won’t see me at the theatre. As for me and my house… well, you know. If you are looking for a biblical movie.. this is definitely not it. I much prefer Ray Comforts version of Noah! Take a look. NoahTheMovie Available for download today.
