WHY IS CHRIST IN OUR LIVES? HE IS OUR GREAT SHEPHERD. PSALM:23:1 THE LORD is my Shepherd [to feed, guide, and shield me], I shall not lack. WHAT ARE THE DUTIES OF SHEPHERD? A GOOD SHEPHERD PROVIDES FEEDS AND PROTECTS OR DELIVERS THE SHEEPS FROM THE WOLVES OR ANY DANGER THAT IS LOOMING AROUND THE SHEEPS, SO ALSO IS WHOM OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST IS UNTO EACH ONE OF US THAT HAVE ACCEPTED HIM AS OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR. JOHN:10:10-14: The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have {and} enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows). I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd risks {and} lays down His [own] life for the sheep. But the hired servant (he who merely serves for wages) who is neither the shepherd nor the owner of the sheep, when he sees the wolf coming, deserts the flock and runs away. And the wolf chases {and} snatches them and scatters [the flock]. Now the hireling flees because he merely serves for wages and is not himself concerned about the sheep [cares nothing for them]. I am the Good Shepherd; and I know {and} recognize My own, and My own know {and} recognize Me-- WHAT IS THAT THING THAT SEEMS LACKING OR MISSING OR BROKEN IN ANY AREA OF OUR LIVES ENDEAVOUR, LET US LOOK UNTO OUR BLESSED SAVIOUR REDEEMER GOOD SHEPHERD, HE IS EVER PRESENT TO PROVIDE ALL THAT MIGHT BE MISSING IN OUR LIVES. JAMES:1:5 If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally {and} ungrudgingly, without reproaching {or} faultfinding, and it will be given him. 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect (free, large, full) gift is from above; it comes down from the Father of all [that gives] light, in [the shining of] Whom there can be no variation [rising or setting] or shadow cast by His turning [as in an eclipse]. 1Pet:5:7 Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately {and} cares about you watchfully. AS A GOOD SHEPHERD, HE IS CONTINUOUSLY PROVIDING ALL WHAT IS MISSING OR LACKING OR BROKEN IN OUR LIVES, HE IS ALSO DELIVERING US FROM THE EVIL THAT IS LOOMING AROUND US. ISAIAH:46:4 Even to your old age I am He, and even to hair white with age will I carry you. I have made, and I will bear; yes, I will carry and will save you. Heb:7:25 Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God {and} intercede with Him {and} intervene for them. 2Cor:1:10 [For it is He] Who rescued {and} saved us from such a perilous death, and He will still rescue {and} save us; in {and} on Him we have set our hope (our joyful and confident expectation) that He will again deliver us [from danger and destruction and draw us to Himself], ITS THE DELIGHT OF GOOD SHEPHERD TO SEE HIS SHEEPS FULL OF JOY. JOHN:17:22-23: I have given to them the glory {and} honor which You have given Me, that they may be one [even] as We are one: I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one {and} perfectly united, that the world may know {and} [definitely] recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them [even] as You have loved Me. Zeph:3:17 The Lord your God is in the midst of you, a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]! He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] {and} in His love He will be silent {and} make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them]; He will exult over you with singing. A GOOD SHEPHERD GUIDES HIS SHEEP NOT TO WANDERS AWAY FROM HIS PRESENCE. PSALM:91:11 For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany {and} defend {and} preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. Isaiah:40:11 He will feed His flock like a shepherd: He will gather the lambs in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom and will gently lead those that have their young. HOLY SPIRIT INSIDE OF US IS THE REPRESENTATIVE OF THE SHEPHERD INSIDE OF US. John;14:26 But the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you. IN THE VERSE GIVEN ABOVE, WE CAN SEE THE PURPOSE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN A BELIEVERS LIFE. COMFORTER, COUNSELLOR, HELPER, INTERCESSOR, ADVOCATE, STRENGTHENER, AND STANDBY. THATS THE WORK OF GOOD SHEPHERD, SO LET US BE UNPERTURBED WITH THE SITUATIONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES AROUND US, BECAUSE WE HAVE A GOOD SHEPHERD INSIDE OF US.
