WHY Is It IMPORTANT To Have An ISLAMIC CHARACTER??? Let’s look at the following scenario. E.g. you have two mothers – one Muslim one non-Muslim. You will clearly see the two different identities they will have. The attribute of the mother is the one who looks after and cares, that’s why people get upset if you insult their mother. However the Muslim mother cares better than a non-Muslim mother. The Muslim mother knows that time is short in this duniya (world) and she does not want her kids in the hellfire. She will teach them Islam to make them citizens of Jannah. Allah says: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنْفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُ O ye who believe! save yourselves and your families from a Fire whose fuel is Men and Stones, [66:6] Some people say lets do kufr first and they ask Allah for forgiveness, aoothoubillah! Continuing with the scenario, say a boy aged 15 is with a foreign girl also aged 15 at their home so called studying. If the non-Muslim mother comes across them she will say “O how nice? And start accepting it”. However a Muslim mother will say it is not allowed and tell the girl to go home. The Messenger (saws) Muhammad Ibn ‘Abdillāh, the Imām of the Muwahhidīn said: “When ever a man and women alone in the room, Shaytan is with them” Even some people will say the angels made shirk by prostrating to Adam (as), but shaytaan did not and was better…Aoothoubillah! A man will treat another person according to what previous information he has about him.
