WHY ME? Have you ever asked the Lord, Of all people why - TopicsExpress

WHY ME? Have you ever asked the Lord, Of all people why me? Why do bad things happen to good people? The people who are doing the bad things should be the one to be punished. Believed me, I asked those questions many times. But we cannot view trials and testing as a form of punishment. You might be praying to God for promotions and blessings. Without you knowing this is one of the ways how God answers your prayer. What do you mean Chinkee, Do you mean to say that testing is a blessing? One thing I learned in my walk with God is this, God test before He blesses. God wants to make sure before He releases the blessing, we are already prepared and mature to handle it. That is the reason why it is said in the book of James, Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. (James 1:2-4) He is more concern about our maturity rather than our security. He wants to make sure before He release the blessings we are ready. May the blessing becomes a real blessing rather than a curse. Are you going through a testing now? Ask yourself, is this testing self-inflicted or God is only using this as a tool to mild you to become a better and a stronger person? Are you ready to pass the test? Do not ask God to remove the test but ask God to give you the power and the grace to overcome the test.
