WHY NABIN PATTNAIK IS UNCHALLANGEBLE IN ODISHA TODAY Despite so many years of ruling Odisha, Nabin Pattnaik is still unchallengeable. The victory of BJD Candidate with massive margin in Kandhamal by-election corroborates this. The hope of BJP to make inroads, in the back drop of Chit Fund scam and infighting among BJD leaders, has been pounded and pulverized. Anti-incumbency factor is not working exactly what happened in West Bengal during communist rule. The following reason are attributed to Nabin`s success. 1. He is the son of Biju pattnaik who is more powerful after death 2. People of Odisha think that despite limitation of BJD, still it is better than BJP and Congress. 3. Modi fator is not working in Odisha while congress is losing its ground to BJP which portend danger for future 4. Some social welfare schemes have made Nabin popular among poor people. 5. BJD has been galvanized as a cadre-based party like Left in WB in past. CAUTION FOR BJD: Since BJP is emerging as main opposition outstripping congress, BJD should not take it lightly.
