WHY NON-GMO There are two factors of concern with genetically modified organisms. Most GMO crop has been genetically engineered to be resistant to Glyphosate- Round-Up. Most all of U.S. grown soy, sugar beet and corn are GMO. Glyphosate has been linked to autism, parkinsons, cancer, colitis, inflammatory bowel syndrome, chronic diarrhea, infertility, heart disease, allergies, leaky gut syndrome, chronic inflammation, increased ammonia levels, and depression. That would be enough reason not to feed or eat any GMO crops. The other factor is that when a specific gene is changed in an organism, there is not just one specific effect. It is comparable to a catalyst that then changes the expression of other genes, and therefore essentially the entire plant. Studies have shown that the nutritional value of conventionally grown plants is not the same as that of GMO plants. There are also numerous studies that have shown birth defects, infertility, stunted growth and malformations of skeleton and organs in pigs and rodents.
