WHY THEY ARE FEARLESS... Episode 18: KRISTINE MUNCHKIN This is no doubt an episode we all knew was on the immediate horizon. On a Fearless level, the name Kristine Munchkin needs no introduction but certainly deserves accolade. Munchkin truly is Miss Fearless and rightfully so. Kris was innocently asked to bar tend the original SRSL production cast party which was held at my Motorcycle Clubhouse in Orange. Simply put.... Munchkin fell in love with the group and the feeling was mutual. Kris did a little theater in high school and saw SRSL as a perfect avenue to renew her love for the world of performance art. She approached me with this desire and when the seemingly small but mighty Whenever opened up, I thought she might enjoy giving it a shot. In true Munchkin form, she worked diligently on the piece and made it her own. Through the process of character development, and script interp I found Munchkin to be so open and direct-able, but more importantly, like so many of us, I was invited into the brilliant heart and soul that she possesses. Munchkin is literally an open book, the pages of which are filled with the most beautiful words one person could possibly hope to be associated with.... Giving, Generous, Kind, Loving, and Tremendously Loyal... Kris is the true Family Member that makes this a Fearless Family. Soon after her stage debut at the UCPAC run of SRSL she grabbed me in the hall and asked me whats next??? You might have noticed Munchkin back stage at almost every Fearless Function... Her Stage Management career happened quite by accident... Somewhere along the lines of the SRSL tour de force she just started picking things up... Helping back stage, making copies, being on book, and as time went by it became only natural for her to Stage Manage. This is where I feel Kristine found a true calling. With each show, her inexperience slowly fades and pales in comparison to her enormous heart and passion for all things Fearless... A sister to all and trust me, she takes THAT job even more seriously, Munchkin has an insanely ample combination of creativity and work ethic, without which this merry band of brothers and sisters would be less than half what it has become... I know I speak for so many of us whose lives have been touched by this amazing little lady, that in case you didnt know it, we appreciate our little stage psycho and love her so dearly....
